1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting
of the Public Accounts and Public Administration Committee.
2. The papers were noted.
3.1 Due to unforeseen circumstances the
Permanent Secretary and the Director of Propriety and Ethics were
unable to attend the evidence session.
4.1 The motion was agreed.
5.1 The Committee agreed that it would write to the Welsh Government to express their disappointment that the session scheduled for today had to be postponed, understanding that these were exceptional circumstances.
5.2 In discussing next steps the Committee
could take on this issue, it was agreed that a short inquiry on the
Cabinet Handbook and the Ministerial Code would be undertaken over
the Summer Recess.
6.1 The Committee were content with the further amendments that had been made to the report.
The Committee also agreed on further additions
to be made to the report, with a view to publish the report during
the Summer Recess.
7.1 The Committee agreed that it would write to the Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure Committee to inquire about any further work that they would undertake in this issue.
7.2 The Committee agreed that it would write
to the Welsh Government and Transport for Wales, acknowledging the
planned work of Audit Wales in this area, and to seek an update on
the current financial position on the delivery of rail services and
the Core Valleys Line modernisation project.
8.1 The Committee agreed that it would raise the issue of TVR Automotive Ltd in future scrutiny sessions with the Welsh Government.
